Hmm...

Sat Aug 29, 2009, 12:16 PM
Hello again Deviant Art! Well school has started and it sucks, as usual. I'm trying to make the best of it though. My designing has almost slowed to a standstill. This is a very bad thing. I am trying to learn more, but I am having trouble making pieces unless I am using a tutorial. I really am looking for someone who will teach me and help me get along my way, if you want to be that person, please tell me. I also want to get a good few people to constantly critique my work so I can learn what I am doing wrong.

One good thing that has happened recently, my sister moved out finally. The house is mine!! Well my father is still here but it's not as bad as it was!

Well that is all I have to say guys!

Peace!

Your welcome, so when making that game package should I pen tool, or make the case?

Not sure I understand the question. Can you explain more what you are asking?

You told me to design like a video game box when we were discussing how I should get better and I was wondering if you meant design the case like with the pen tool and such.

Actually the process of designing a project like a game box will involve lots of techniques in Illustrator or Photoshop. You will be given reference art and peraps photos, a list of fonts, maybe even a mock-up layout to go by.

The thing to do is to pick a video game box you like, and then try to make a design that looks exactly likewhat you see. Do you think you can do that with just the pen tool?
